Process design criteria

1. Scope
1.1 Purpose of the specification
This General Specification gives the minimum requirements for process design criteria to be used during pre-engineering (Conceptual, Pre-Project) and engineering studies (basic, FEED, detailed).

1.2 Applicability
This General Specification is intended to use in facilities such as oil and gas production plants, gas plants and LNG plants. It is also applicable to Vendor's packages and to pipelines and subsea pipeline systems.
It does not apply to oil sand froth production or subsea process equipment (separator, pump, etc.) which are covered by a project specific process design criteria document.
